Hannis T. Bourgeois Establishes The 1924 Fund to Mark 100 Years of Service and Commitment to Louisiana Communities
Baton Rouge, La. (November 14, 2024) – Hannis T. Bourgeois (HTB), a leading accounting and advisory firm, proudly announces the establishment of The 1924 Fund, an employee-based charity fund, to commemorate a century of service within Louisiana. Endowed with the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, and guided by a commitment to enhancing community well-being, HTB aims to strengthen opportunities that uplift individuals and support the collective growth of the community. The fund will prioritize contributions to community development, focusing on initiatives and organizations that strengthen educational pursuits, cultural enrichment, and resilient family connections.
In preparation for the fund’s launch, HTB set a goal of raising $100,000, with contributions from the firm, its partners, and staff. Each year, an internal committee will select nonprofit organizations that reflect the fund’s focus areas, ensuring its impact remains meaningful and aligned with the firm’s core values and mission. Distributions will begin in 2025, directly benefiting local nonprofits in the communities where HTB operates, including Baton Rouge, Alexandria, Denham Springs, Hammond and New Orleans.
“Our communities are at the heart of everything we do, and The 1924 Fund is our way of pouring back into them in a meaningful and lasting way,” says Managing Partner Jay Montalbano. “By supporting initiatives that enhance education, culture and family support, we’re dedicated to building the strengths and resources that help our communities thrive.”
HTB has historically been a trusted partner to its clients, providing personalized accounting services while actively engaging with the communities that have supported its growth. As HTB looks forward to the next 100 years of service, The 1924 Fund honors the firm’s legacy while laying a strong foundation for future growth and development.
