Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP Elects New Partners and Director

Hannis T. Bourgeois, LLP (“HTB”), Certified Public Accountants and Business Advisors is proud to announce it has elected Jenna E. Frederic, CPA, Alicia J. Knighton, CPA, and Chase M. Ruiz, CPA as Partners of the firm effective January 1, 2024. In addition, Evan B. Hull, CPA has been elected Associate Partner and Ashley E. Wellons, CPA has been elected Director, also effective January 1, 2024.

Jenna E. Frederic, CPA joined HTB in 2006. She is engaged in the firm’s assurance practice and assisted in establishing the Women’s Initiative Network (“WIN”), HTB’s internal women’s group. Based in HTB’s Baton Rouge office, she collaborates closely with clients to provide accounting, assurance, and advisory services across a wide range of industries with a focus on employee benefit plans, construction, and small business. Alicia J. Knighton, CPA is a member of the tax practice in HTB’s Baton Rouge office. With eleven years of public accounting experience, nine at HTB, Alicia provides tax compliance, planning, and consulting services to the firm’s diverse client base. Chase M. Ruiz, CPA is based in HTB’s Denham Springs office, serving clients in corporate and individual tax compliance, planning, and consulting services, specializing in multi-state compliance. He collaborates with each client and their accounting team to ensure proper integration of financial data and schedules resources to ensure timeliness. Ashley E. Wellons, CPA, as newly appointed Director of Assurance Operations, serves an internal role in the day-to-day operations of the assurance department of HTB. She focuses on researching and implementing innovative technology, scheduling, and maximizing the efficiency of internal processes and procedures to better serve HTB clients. With 12 years of Public Accounting experience, three of which were spent at HTB, Ashley assists in the strategic direction and growth of the firm.
